Campus Driving Directions

Once you enter through the Shady Side Academy gate, continue up the hill to the stop sign.  Make a right and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Go straight through this stop sign and bear left around the bend.  At the next stop sign make a right and start down the hill.  Make the first left into The Hillman Center parking lot.  

From Squirrel Hill

  1. Take 5th Avenue north towards Highland Park
  2. Continue as 5th Avenue turns into Washington Blvd and cross the Highland Park Bridge
  3. Merge onto Route 28 North towards Kittanning
  4. Take exit 8 for Fox Chapel Rd / Freeport Rd 
  5.  At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Fox Chapel Rd
  6. After 1 mile, keep right to continue on Fox Chapel Rd.
  7. Continue for 1 mile, then turn left into Shady Side Academy
  8. Once you enter through the gate, continue up the hill to the stop sign.  Make a right and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Go straight through this stop sign and bear left around the bend.  At the next stop sign make a right and start down the hill.  Make the first left into The Hillman Center parking lot.

From the North Hills

  1. Take 279 South to PA-28 North
  2. Take PA-28 North to exit 8 for Fox Chapel Rd/ Freeport Rd.
  3. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Fox Chapel Rd
  4. After 1 mile, keep right to continue on Fox Chapel Rd.
  5. Continue for 1 mile, then turn left into Shady Side Academy
  6. Once you enter through the gate, continue up the hill to the stop sign.  Make a right and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Go straight through this stop sign and bear left around the bend.  At the next stop sign make a right and start down the hill.  Make the first left into The Hillman Center parking lot.

From Wexford and North

  1. Take PA Turnpike I-76 East towards Monroeville
  2. Take Exit #48 (New Kensington/PA-28)
  3. After the toll booth, stay right and merge onto Freeport Rd.
  4. Continue on Freeport Rd for 3 miles and then turn right onto Powers Run Rd.
  5. Go 2 miles and then turn left onto Fox Chapel Rd.
  6. Continue for 3/4 mile, then turn right into Shady Side Academy
  7. Once you enter through the gate, continue up the hill to the stop sign.  Make a right and follow the road to the next stop sign.  Go straight through this stop sign and bear left around the bend.  At the next stop sign make a right and start down the hill.  Make the first left into The Hillman Center parking lot.

  1. Take 279 North to exit 7C for PA-28 North.
  2. Take PA-28 North to exit 8 for Fox Chapel Rd/ Freeport Rd.
  3. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Fox Chapel Rd
  4. After 1 mile, keep right to continue on Fox Chapel Rd.
  5. Continue for 1 mile, then turn left into Shady Side Academy
